The Destination Wedding Experience

Akasha started the day with her maid of honour at Eva's hair and makeup salon. After the styling session, it was time for a quick first-look photoshoot before traveling to the wedding venue.

Thor, friends, and family found their places at the wedding ceremony venue and waited for the bride to arrive. Akasha, accompanied by her father, started walking down towards her future husband. A few teary eyes later, Thor and Akasha stood by the wedding arch, made their vows for one another, and tied the knot with the centuries-old Norwegian handfasting tradition. They then exchanged rings and kissed for the first time as husband and wife. 

After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds, family, and friends had a toast, some wedding cake, and lunch prepared by a local chef with locally sourced ingredients. The chef also shared tales of fjord food traditions. 

After lunch, the couple ventured on their SUV photoshoot adventure, taking stunning wedding pictures by serene fjords and mountains. 

The day ended with a three-course wedding dinner at one of our rustic fjord barns. We chose a special barn that used to be a sheep shed, converted into a venue with fjord museum. To end the evening, the guests lined the pathway holding sparklers as the couple walked through.
