The Destination Wedding Experience

Carly and Matt, a talented couple from the USA working in the movie industry, envisioned an intimate wedding ceremony by the breathtaking Aurlandsfjord. The day began with hair and makeup styling, followed by a scenic journey to the waterfront venue.

On the jetty, friends and family eagerly awaited Carly and Matt's arrival. Matt, accompanied by his parents, walked down to the jetty, where he waited for his bride-to-be. Shortly after, Carly arrived, escorted by her parents. Once everyone had gathered, they shared a celebratory drink to mark the beginning of the ceremony.

Carly and Matt's ceremony was officiated by a close friend, who guided them through the traditional Norse handfasting ritual. Their heartfelt vows touched everyone present, leaving few dry eyes. After exchanging rings and their first kiss as husband and wife, the celebration continued with drinks, cake, and a delicious lunch. The afternoon was dedicated to a fun-filled SUV photoshoot adventure, some well-deserved rest and relaxation at the hotel, and finally, a cozy dinner in a charming fjord-side barn.

The Travel Experience

A destination wedding in Norway is also a great opportunity to explore Norway and that’s exactly what Carla & Matt did.

They started their Norwegian adventure in Bodø, and then the Lofoten Islands where they tried whale watching and hiking. They visited Reine and Lyngvær before heading south to the capitol, Oslo.

From Oslo they took Bergensbana, Bergen railway, to Myrdal high in the mountains. From Myrdal they took Flåmsbana, Flåm railway, down to Flåm. After a few days and a wedding ❤️ in Aurland they continued to Bergen where they visited Bergen fishmarket, Fisketorget, and then they checked out Stavanger, where they tried kayaking and hiking.

“Wow! When Matt and I dreamt of having our wedding in Norway we could not have imagined what we experienced. Paul and his team exceeded EVERY expectation!”
