Jim & Lucas’ Autumn Elopement in Norway

The Destination Wedding Experience

Jim & Lucas decided to elope on a mountaintop in October. Their adventure started with a light hike to the ceremony venue with their symbolic celebrant.

Jim & Lucas vowed their love and commitment to each other, exchanged rings and using traditional handfasting they tied the knot. After the ceremony it was time for a toast overlooking mountaintops and the stunning Aurlandsfjord.

After the ceremony they had a quick photoshoot and hiked down from the mountaintop, where it was time for the wedding cake cut with a sword and a fjord heritage lunch. They enjoyed good food and listened to the Chef, Laila, tell interesting stories of local food traditions.

It was then time for more wedding pictures. They visited Stegastein viewpoint and captured amazing autumn pictures with vibrant orange and yellow colours in the background.

The day ended with a romantic dinner and sparkles by the fireplace.

Time Of Year

In October, Aurland transforms into a picturesque wonderland where vibrant autumn leaves create a stunning backdrop against the majestic fjords. The crisp air, often accompanied by gentle mist, adds an enchanting quality to the landscape, making it feel almost dreamlike. As the sun casts soft golden hues across the mountains, couples can experience intimate moments surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The serene fjords reflect the rich fall colours, providing an ideal setting for romantic photographs. Aurland’s tranquility and natural beauty in October offer a magical atmosphere perfect for unforgettable weddings and elopements.

Additional Wedding Experiences

Jim & Lucas decided to add a few experiences to their elopement package:
For a stress free travel, we arranged airport transport from Bergen airport.
On the special day they wanted to have simple video clips taken.
The couple also chose to add drone footage to capture the beauty of the location with extra special photos and videos.
After the big day, we arranged a tour of the fjords with Fjord Safari for an intimate nature experience.
