The Destination Wedding Experience

Laura and Alvaro are a lovely, warm couple from Spain who had a Viking-themed wedding with family and friends. They drank mead from traditional drinking horns, exchanged rings with ceremonial swords, and tied the knot with the centuries-old Norse handfasting ritual in front of a wedding arch decorated with white drapery.

Many couples choose to have their photoshoot alone, but Laura and Alvaro wanted their friends and family to join them on their thrilling mountaintop adventure photoshoot. There, they all experienced both the magic of Norwegian nature and its wild weather.

After the amazing mountaintop adventure photoshoot, the wedding party continued to Nesbø farm, one of our evening dinner venues in Aurland Valley, located just a short distance from Østerbø Fjellstova. There, they enjoyed a cosy, rustic barn dinner with a fire roaring in the centre of the table and drinks they had brought from home. The couple and their family also enjoyed tales of Nesbø, the 500-year-old farm where they were, as told by a local guide.

It was a typical Norwegian August, so it was still light out when dinner was over. Then it was time for Spanish music, dancing, and limbo! Unfortunately, the wonderful evening had to end, but it was a day none of us will ever forget
